Anti-Harassment Policy
Last updated: July 2026
TLC Forum is meant to be a warm, encouraging space for writers and illustrators to share and critique one another's work. Harassment of any kind has no place here.
What we mean by harassment
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
- Personal attacks, insults, or demeaning language directed at another member.
- Unwelcome, repeated contact after being asked to stop.
- Publicly or privately sharing another member's content, identity, or personal information without consent.
- Discriminatory remarks based on race, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or similar characteristics.
- Deliberately harsh or bad-faith “critique” intended to demean rather than help a fellow writer improve.
- Threats of any kind, including implied threats.
Reporting harassment
If you experience or witness harassment on TLC Forum — including within a critique group — please report it to tlcinfo@tlcforum.org. Please include as much detail as you're comfortable sharing (who was involved, what happened, when, and any relevant screenshots or messages). We take every report seriously and will keep your report as confidential as possible while we look into it.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your report, review the situation, and take appropriate action, which may include a warning, removal of content, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from TLC Forum — at our discretion, based on the severity and pattern of the conduct.
No retaliation
We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports harassment in good faith.
